Book Review

Most people say never to judge a book by its cover; in this case that’s what I did when I was picking out a book for my independent reading project. When you first pick out the book, the cover leaves you with curiosity, considering that it is a picture of eyes. I would definitely say that this book is worth reading because it has a very important message, of how girls have troubles with their look and how far women go to be beautiful. Although sometimes I found it very hard to concentrate on the book and getting bored with it every so often. I would recommend that girls in Middle School read this book because, that is when most girls start to care about their appearance and they would be able to connect to the characters in this book. Also, because this book is an easy read and can be enjoyable to them. I believe that maybe the book could be more interesting if the author used more detail to really make the reader feel how the author feels. I do not regret reading this book, because it really shows a good message and is relatable to most people’s daily life making it more interesting.
